Color Fun Birthday Card

Ever since I got this stamp set I have been dying to color it in with markers. I just love how pretty it is and all the different colors you can make with it.

I wanted to keep it very simple and just stamp around the edge of the card. That way the color you chose can stand out.

Here's what I used:
Basic Black CS: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Whisper White CS: (2) 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
little extra for sentiment

And don't forget to stamp the inside and the envelope.

Hope you enjoyed.

A Thank You Card for Teacher

Now that the school year is ending I'm proud to say I will have a kindergartner soon.  Yes my baby bee (Bella) is graduating from pre-school and going to kindergarten next year. I'm so happy.
So I thought I would be nice to give her teachers a little something special.

I have seen cards like this on Pinterest and thought it was such a cute idea to make for a teacher.

Here's what I used:

Basic Black CS: 4 1/4 x 8 1/2  Score: 5 1/2
Hardwood Stamp Set in Baked Brown Sugar on Crumb Cake CS
Thank You stamp in Whisper White Craft Ink
Banner Made form the Retro Fresh DSP with the Petite Curly Punch

I also made them a little gift. These post-it notes are the perfect teacher gift.
(Check out my post from April to see how to make these)

The perfect teacher gift. Now all I need is to make a bag to put it in.

Hope you enjoyed.

Fathers Day Card

Today I have for you a fun Fathers Day Card. Now my Husband is a huge kid at heart and I wouldn't have it any other way. So naturally making fun cards for him is easy. He absolutely loved his Ninja Turtle Card. He thought that was awesome. And I'm sure he's going to love this one too.

Again I have to say that I don't have a real tutorial on how I created this card. It's mostly free hand, but I can try to explain what I used.

I used:
Crushed Curry CS (body, nose cheek)
Whisper White and Baked Brown Sugar for rest of body
Whisper White ( eyes, teeth)
Island Indigo (eyes)
Basic Black (eyes, mouth)
Cherry Cobbler (tongue)
Real Red (tie)

I hope that helps. He was very fun to make. I also used the star from Perfect Pennants Stamp Set (133230) and the fathers day stamp from May's Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Hope you enjoyed!

Olaf Birthday Card

So today I have good news and bad news.
Good news is I have an awesome card to show you.
Bad news is I don't have a tutorial to explain how I made this card.
I pretty much made it all free hand.

He was very tricky to make. I did use some punches from Stampin Up the helped in the process.
Owl Punch (head, mouth, eyes)
Large Oval Punch (upper lip, middle body)
1/2 Circle Punch (nose, coal)

Everything else was free hand.

I'm here to help if you have any questions on how I out him together. But I know all you talented crafty people will find a way.

Oh and by they way, the little girl who got this card absolutely loved it.

Hope you enjoyed.

Origami Owl Box into a Card holder

Hello Everyone

A friend of mine is selling Origami Owl now and has saved a few boxes that she receives all her items in. She gave me some to see what I could come up with and naturally I wanted to make a box to hold my many leftover cards.

I was able to unfold part of the box and tape it up to be able to hold some cards.

Now the paper i used to decorate is a very old set that Stampin Up used to sell. But I wanted to try it out before I used my newer paper.

So here is a tutorial on how to build up the box. I'm not showing how to decorate it. I'll leave that up to you.

First I brought up the sides of the box. This gave it more room inside so that your cards can fit perfectly.

I pulled out the front and taped the side flaps so that they could stay secure.

I then cut off the top and the side flaps at an angle before I taped it down.

Then your done.

Your able now to decorate your box however you want. I did wrap mine over the sides of the box so that it was a clean edge. I then added the inside paper so you don't see the folds.

Hope you enjoyed.

April Paper Pumpkin

This time I had to let Baby B (Bella) make her Paper Pumpkin. Mostly because I was hoping she would make it her way and give it to me. But no! She wants to give it to her Nanah (my mom). But either way I know my crafty little girl will make something very special for Mother's Day.

So here are some pictures for her putting everything together. I do have to say that if you have a crafty kid, then the Paper Pumpkin is an awesome project for them. She catches on so quick that I don't even have to show her what to do.

Hope you enjoyed.

Happy Card

Over the weekend I had a lovely scrap day with my crafty ladies. I love our get together. We have girl talk, share our ideas and creations and eat the best food. Now when I say eat the best food, I mean we eat the best food... always something new and oh so good!

I demoed this card for them, along with some others that are already posted on my blog.
I love this card. It is a very simple design and can be used for any occasion.

What I used:
Whisper White CS: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Flower Shop Stamp Set ( 130942)
Bloomin Marvelous Stamp Set (retired)
Happy Watercolor Stamp Set (133191)

Ink I used:
Raspberry Ripple
Old Olive
StazOn Black Ink

Now I wanted to keep this card very simple. No cutting, no dimension, not even jewels. However I know I could have spruced up this card in so many ways. Instead I left that to my smaller cards.
I had been rummaging through the catalog and fell upon the note-card set with envelopes (131527).
These are smaller cards, about 5 x 3 1/2.
I liked them because they came in a set of 20 card and envelopes and I can divide that up to 4 cards and envelopes to make a pack to sell.

Crushed Curry

Midnight Muse

Crisp Cantaloupe

Pool Party

Raspberry Ripple

I also used the small scallop punch from the Itty Bitty Punches and rhinestones to decorate the flowers. Love these cards so much.
Hope you enjoyed.
