Anniversary Goodies... Bags!

So as some of you might know I recently celebrated my 1 yr Anniversary of being a Stampin Up Demonstrator. It has been an amazing year and I have an amazing group of women that I can count on to make my crafting special. So I had to give back to all that they have done for me.

This past Christmas I learned how to sew a really cute messenger bag for my cousins. I then took some of that pattern and created these bags for my girls. I used Stampin Up fabric that they used to sell in last years catalog. Currently right now it is in the Clearance section of the site. The fabric is about 3/4 of a yard so I added the burlap to maximize my fabric.

It was a lot of work and burlap is very messy. I would suggest a lot of patience when working with burlap. But I do have to say it was worth it. My girls were very impressed that it was Stampin Up related and loved their bags. I also made the tags and plan to add another post about them later.
Enjoy these pics for now!
