In-Color Week- Lost Lagoon

Important Dates:

Spring Catalog ends- May 31, 2016
2015-2016 Annual Catalog ends- May 31, 2016
NEW 2016-2017 Annual Catalog goes live on June 1, 2016 (tentative)

Today's Color: Lost Lagoon

Last, but certainly not least, is the beautiful Lost Lagoon. I liked this blue tone because it was very subtle and not too bright. It has a more gray tone to it and could be very nice for a baby boy card. (Darn I should have made one)

But of course I went with my favorite. People are gonna start hating me because of this stamp set. I always end up stamping full pages when it comes to flower stamps. Its like making your own DSP.

At least with the next card I did do something different. I saw a card on Pinterest that used the hardwood stamp and I had to make my own with the same.

I love the hardwood stamp as a background stamp. And to be able to use it in different colors versus the brown and gray tones. This blue definitely stands out.

Enjoy!

Today's Color: Mossy Meadow

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
I found it only fitting to post Mossy Meadow on St. Patrick's Day. But my only mishap was I kinda made a more Christmas looking card. You be the judge.

It wasn't my full intention but It's such a nice green I just had to pair it with Cherry Cobbler. I think I can get away with it not being too Christmas.

At least my next card came out with better intentions. This Just for You stamp is very popular and is so much fun creating card with.

I did emboss the stamp on the DSP. It came out beautiful. I did it on another card that I was playing around with and showed my group of ladies and they absolutely loved it. So naturally I had to do it again.

Embossing is very easy to do and can add so much detail to your cards. YouTube has a lot of videos showing how you can emboss paper. Try it and let me know what you think.

Enjoy!

In-Color Week- Blackberry Bliss

Important Dates:

Today's Color: Blackberry Bliss

Now I'm going to be real honest here, I don't like the color purple. I might have mentioned that before but I am not a fan of the color all together. I sway more towards pink.
However, I have grown a little fawn of this color. It's actually very fun to stamp with.

This card I had prepared for a co-workers birthday at the end of the month. Now she's a purple lover. So it was only natural that I make her a purple card.

Considering I wanted to showcase these colors this week, I also wanted to change it up a bit and not always do a card. I have here a notebook that I created for my downline's introduction party. These notebooks are super easy.

I got the notebooks at the Dollar Tree and fitted Basic Black card stock to it and then added DSP. Very simple and a nice gift to give at parties or as a hostess gift.

In-Color Week- Hello Honey

Important Dates:
Sale-a-bration ends- March 31, 2016
Spring Catalog ends- May 31, 2016
2015-2016 Annual Catalog ends- May 31, 2016

Today's Color: Hello Honey

This color is a good subtle color that's great for backgrounds. I really enjoy a good yellow that highlights a darker color. It makes it's pop so much more.

Of course I used my fave stamp set. I ended up having a few leftover paper from a party I helped my downline with and decided to use up the leftovers to make my cards this week. Can't waste paper now!!

Now I used it as the main color in the above card but then changed to an accent in the card below. The Cajun Craze and Hello Honey really compliment each other very well. It's not a usual color combo that I would pick but I wanted to showcase the versatility of this color.

Enjoy

In-Color Week- Tangelo Twist

With the count down on for Sale-a-bration ( March 31, 2016) I noticed that the new catalog is on it's way soon. The current Annual Catalog is until May 31, 2016.
And if your familiar with how the catalogs work you know that we will be losing a color collection and gaining a new one.
The 2014-2016 In Colors will be leaving us soon. So to make sure your not missing out on these fabulous colors I'm going to showcase them for the week, One color a day.

Today's Color: Tangelo Twist

This card is a rendition of the one that I made last week. I'm sure you all are getting tired of seeing this stamp set but I have a problem, I love it tooooo much. haha!

This color is mostly overlooked because it's well orange. Orange I feel is more associated with Fall or Halloween and Thanksgiving. To use it in the Spring time is not always seen. But as you can see now it can be used anyway you want.

I then took it a step further and used it as an accent rather then the main focal point of color.

This accent brings out the main color and makes it stand out. Adding that little pop of color to any card always helps.

Enjoy!

Triple Layer "What I Love" Card

Throw Back Thursday! #tbt
So I thought I'd throw it back a bit and showcase an old card with a new stamp set. Again I am still obsessed with the stamp set and I'm gonna be really sad when Sale-a-bration is all over.
( You have until March 31st to get this stamp set for free with a $50 order)

So this card was featured in a past post for Christmas. I had made a Snowflake triple layer card. I used the same measurements, minus a tweak on the greeting, and made this card. Very simple card to make and it's one of my groups favorite to do.
Click on Snowflake and it will show you how I created this cards.
For the greeting I tweaked:
Crumb Cake CS: 3 x 1 3/4
Whisper White CS: 2 3/4 x 1 1/2

Enjoy!
