Birthday Card #4 - Birthday Tags

And lastly on this birthday series I have decided to make some tags.
I really wanted to show the different ways to show off this amazing paper that I came up with something different.

I didn't want them all to be cards, so these tags worked out well.
You can make a set of tags and gift them to someone. I'm sure that someone would be able to pt them to good use.

Base Card Stock: 2 x 4 1/4
Basic Black: 3 3/8 x 1 7/8
Designer Series Paper: 3 1/4 x 1 3/4
Small scrap for stamping: 1/2 x 1 1/2

Birthday Card #3 - Yummy Donuts 5x5 Card

Now here's a card you can sink your teeth into. Well I wish I could anyways.
This fun 5x5 card was made for one of my nieces' who's birthday is coming up.

I had my daughter pick out which paper she would like and she chose this one. I thought it was perfect and so created this card.

I did try a little something different. I placed what I would consider the inside sentiment on the outside and vice versa. It made the flow of the card special.

Card Base: 5 x 10   score at 5 inches
Basic Black: 4 3/4 x 4 3/4
Designer Series Paper: 4 5/8 x 4 5/8
White, black, and Berry Burst scraps: 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 - you can make them longer or shorter
White inside: 4 3/4 x 4 3/4

Birthday Card #2 - 4x4 Candle Card

Here is card #2. I wanted to go a different route and make a 4x4 card.
It s a much smaller version to what I am used to but I like it. I was fun making this card. And it allowed me to use less paper.

Again this is a card that can go to anyone. it doesn't have to be a birthday card either. It can be to celebrate anything. I would even use this as a graduation card.

Card Base: 8 x 4   score at 4 inches

Designer Series Paper: 3 5/8 x 3 5/8

Birthday Card #1 - Cue the Confetti

I wanted to start a mini series on birthday cards using the Picture Perfect DSP Pack (145559).
When I saw this paper in the Occasions Catalog I wasn't drawn to it right away. It took some convincing from other demonstrators for me to get this paper.
But once I got it I loved it. I couldn't stop using it and making projects.

This card was my favorite. I have seen others make similar cards to this one using this certain paper and sentiment. I was very impressed at how easy it was to put it all together and have a fun card out of it.

What I think makes it more special is that it can go to anyone. You can give this card to a guy or dress it up and give it to a girl. A very fun and simple card.

Card Base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2   score at 4 1/4
Black Card Stock: 4 x 5 1/4,  2 5/8 x 4 7/8

As I was getting ready to make my mom her Mother's Day Card I realized:

How can that be? What is wrong with me?
How in the whole stamping world can I not have a mothers day stamp. I even looked into my Paper Pumpkin stamps and I got nothing.

In my defense.... I have downsized a lot of my stamps.
I have sold a lot that were retired to make way for new stuff that was coming out. So I'm sure that I had a mothers day stamp in there somewhere. But for now I came up with this card.

What I liked about this card was that I used FREE stamp sets and dies. Only until March 31st can we received these stamps and dies for free. See all the details on past blog post.

Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2

You Are Amazing Card

This card was designed one way but turned out to be another way instead.
I was playing with an idea and once I made it and stared at for a few day I realized that it just wasn't for me.

So I ended up taking some of it apart and playing around with a different idea and filmed it in action.
I now love this card and can't stop looking at it.
It is an amazing looking card.

I have to say that I love that creative process that we all go through. It's one thing to see something online and try to copy it and it's another to try and be creative on your own. I can sometimes just look at a stamp set and know exactly what I am going to make. Then there's the sets that I wait to see what other demonstrators do with them to get ideas.

This card was fun to make and I have to say that I am very proud!

I wanted to continue with making masculine cards and I came up with this one.
I absolutely love it.

When I saw this suite in the Occasions Catalog I knew I was going to make a dapper Mickey Mouse card. It just had to be done. I loved how it came out and I espcially love the look on my group of ladies faces when I showed them this card.

Since I live in San Diego Disneyland is not that far away. I know a ton of people who have annual passes, I mean I had them too. So Mickey is a big deal in my group.

Silver or white gel pen - optional

My 5 Year Anniversary

5 years ago I signed up to be a Stampin Up Demonstrator and it was the best decision I ever made. I absolutely love being a demonstrator and creating with such amazing products.

It's funny how I signed up. I didn't even go to a class or seen a catalog. My mom had gone to a class given by my upline with a friend and she had so much fun and loved the products that she told me I needed to sign up.
I had no idea what she was talking about and the idea of making cards was not for me. I was a scrapbooker. I only made scrapbooks and worked with kits. I figured I would need to incorporate that in selling this product. But once I saw the cards my mom made and sat down and did my research on  making cards I was hooked. I knew that I could do this and there was so much out there to inspire me and add to those creative juices that make me crafty.
I now only make card and haven't touched a scrapbook in 5 year.
I believe that this change was the most fun I have ever had with crafting  and I can only encourage you to sign up and join in on the fun. I would love to be your upline and help you in any way possible so you can enjoy Stampin Up like I do.

I got my group of ladies together to celebrate and we had so much fun making cards together and they really enjoyed their gift and goodies. I always try to make it fun.

Hope you enjoyed!

Classy Guy Card

This my attempt at a masculine card.
I have made masculine cards in the past, mainly for my husband. And of course he says they are awesome ( I have trained him well).
But once I saw the Truly Tailored Suite I knew here was my chance to redeem myself.

I love how this card came out.
It is so simple and easy to change up if needed.

It allows you to use up your paper especially if your like me and can't decide on which one to use. So you might as well incorporate all of them.
I chose three sheets and used both side of the paper to incorporate 6 strips on the card.
It came out great and now I have a design I can use for any occasion.

Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock:  8 1/2 x 5 1/2
score at 4 1/4
Night of Navy Cardstock: 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
Tranquil Tide Cardstock: 5 x 3 3/4
DSP strips: 3/4 x 3 1/4
Scrap of Very Vanilla and Night of Navy

March Anniversary Thank You Cards

I am so excited to be celebrating 5 years as a Stampin Up Demonstrator this month.
And I am celebrating with my group of ladies this weekend.

I came up with this very pretty thank you card that I am making for all of them to say thank you for supporting me on this journey.

I love this card so much. And I have to say I am pretty impressed with myself for coming up with this card design on my own. My main inspiration is the Petal Passion DSP (145589). I saw this paper and was inspired to color it with the Stampin Blends. It was a lot of work but so much fun.

Thick Whisper White Cardstock: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
score: 4 1/4
Basic Black: 5 1/4 x 4
Petal Passion DSP: 2 3/4 x 5 1/8
Vellum: 5 1/8 x 1 1/2 -- embossed using Softy Falling Embossing Folder (139672)
Fresh Fig Ribbon about 6 inches
Whisper White and Basic Black scraps for stamping and cutting
* I used the 4th largest Layering Circle die for the black circle and the 3rd largest Stitch Circle for the white.

Hope you enjoyed!
